Quip begins with a slim, sleek design that is eye-catching and simple. It is available in three colors with the plastic brush — green, white, and blue. You can choose from slate, copper, silver, black, or gold in the metal finish.
The company has a subscription plan that sends out replacement heads and batteries every three months. The brush uses sonic vibrations to clean teeth as the user moves it around in their mouth. The rotation speed is about 15,000 rotations every minute. The removable AAA battery will last several months.
A built-in timer pauses every 30 seconds to signal when the user should begin brushing a new quadrant. There is only one size brush head for adults, although a smaller version is available for kids. The holder can stick to flat surfaces and act as a travel cover.
Introducing the Phillips DiamondClean Toothbrush
The Phillips DiamondClean Toothbrush is the extreme luxury version of electric toothbrushes. With your initial purchase, you receive one brush handle, a USB travel case, charger, four different style toothbrush heads, a rinsing glass, and access to the tracking app. Fortunately, it also includes complete instructions.
The controls include the power button and a mode button. Each style of toothbrush head has a different function, and the brush will automatically sense which head is inserted and adjust the mode. You can also change it manually. When the toothbrush needs charging, a blinking signal light on the brush handle alerts you to pop it onto the charging base.
The app allows you to track your brushing habits by creating a profile. You can even set goals such as whitening or gum care. The app will monitor your habits and help you improve your brushing. The app is straightforward and easy to manage and will even sense when it is time to replace your brush head.
It is excellent for those with sensitive teeth, receding gums, or other dental problems with multiple settings. The brush head is slightly smaller than many other electric brushes and includes ultra-soft bristles. The two-minute timer includes a 30-second interval timer that advises you to begin brushing a new quadrant.

The Quip is small, compact, and has a very space-age look. It fits the hand nicely and is comfortable and easy to use. The back of the brush head contains the Quip logo that also doubles as a tongue scraper.
Although not as fast as the DiamondClean, the brush speed of 15,000 revolutions on the Quip is adequate to leave your mouth feeling fresh and clean. Your dentist will appreciate it also. There is only one button with one speed/mode.
The DiamondClean, with multiple brush heads and operational modes, allows the user to alter the mode for different brushing goals. It does require recharging about every two weeks and takes up more counter space. The Phillips brushes can produce speeds ranging from 31,000 revolutions to 62,000 revolutions per minute.

While Quip is relatively new in the market, Phillips has a 30-year history of reliability. This doesn’t mean that Quip is not reliable. It just means that it is difficult to compare the results.

The only clear winner in any battle over a toothbrush is dependent on whether or not you use it. Whether you pay $1 for a manual brush or $250 for the best electric brush on the market, neither is good if you don’t use it.
The ADA recommends brushing at least twice daily for two minutes each time. Additionally, you should be flossing at least once daily to remove plaque. Whether you select an electric or manual brush, as long as you are practicing good oral hygiene, the best brush is the one that you use.
